Australind Family History Society began in the 1980s when our founder Wendy Maslin gathered a few friends together who wanted to research their family origins.
From this small beginning we now have our own premises and are Affiliated with Family History WA (formerly WAGS) and the LDS Church.
We are located at the rear of the Australind Public Library and next to the Australind Shopping Centre – click on our Contact Us Page – for our opening hours & map. The bus route near our library runs along Mulgara Street and there is plenty of parking in the area.
Our library is a bright and happy place to visit and our friendly volunteers are always ready to assist you.
You may like to have one-on-one assistance or work on your own. Whichever you choose we will accommodate you.
Our library is a great place for treasure hunters! We have over 2,000 books, maps, personal family biographies, microfiche etc. See our Resources link.
For only $3.00/hr use of our ten computers, visitors have access to pay-for sites such as Ancestry.com, FindMyPast, Roots Ireland, My Heritage, and all the free websites. We do Worldwide research.
We can also help you with your DNA.
For our members & visitors we have a kitchen area for lunches (gold coin) and tea and coffee.
